I’m Cassandra, the founder of Macra Bella Vida.

The term macramé comes from Spanish (macramé) and refers to an ancient knotting technique from the Orient, used to create ornaments, patterns, and textiles. The Spanish word macramé originates from the Arabic word migramah, which means "weaving" in Arabic culture.

With this knotting technique, you can also create jewelry in countless variations. All my jewelry pieces consist of many small knots that come together to form the final piece.

The name Bella Vida literally means "beautiful life" and carries a positive, life-affirming message. It reflects my desire for a fulfilling, free, and independent life—one that I experience through traveling, van life, and precious moments with my daughter. At the same time, it highlights the beauty in small things—like my handmade jewelry—and the appreciation for creativity and joy in life.

During my travels, I discovered and fell in love with the art of macramé. Creativity is not just a hobby for me; it is part of who I am and what I feel most called to do. Working with macramé is so special to me because the creative process is a form of meditation and devotion. With every piece I create, I also share a part of myself.

My mission is to share my love for handcrafted art, spread positive energy and beauty, and help others express their personal style in a mindful and unique way.

It is very important to me to bring this valuable energy into the world and perhaps inspire others to lead a more creative and fulfilling life.

Bringing my creations to life and touching and empowering others through them is one of my greatest passions, guiding me every day.

Today, Macra Bella Vida is no longer just my heart’s project—it has become a mother-daughter project. My daughter Bella shares my love for macramé and joyfully creates her own little pieces. It is so beautiful to see our creativity grow and to create something together that brings joy to others.
